The first five minutes were cool. It looked like the introduction of a real movie. The worst part was when the tape must have been scratched or something during that last scene with Hrothgar. But then again, thats what happens with analog cameras.
Still it was a cool movie. I just wish we could have saw more of the fighting between Beowulf, Grendel, and Grendel's mother. It was kept kind of mysterious.

Yeah, a better fight scene with Grendel would have been cool. Still, at least we can follow the story. I'm guessing that the head we saw with the blood spilling out of it was that Aeshere ( or however you spell it) guy. It never really clarified that though.

Wow, its interesting to see the way that society was back then. Everybody loved to fight and drink. Overall, good film, but yeah, some shots could have been better, but I think that was becuase they were limited by their locations and equipment.

People still like to fight and drink. You can have a good time and good memories doing that too. It was once said "as long as there are men, there will be wars," so I suppose fighting and drinking will still continue.
Actually, I found the way the fight with Grendel was made quite artistic. Sometimes its better not to see things, and let the audience use their imagination. Looking beyond the analog footage and the bloopers in people's lines, it was a very good film.

Perhaps the fight with Grendel was sort of artistic, but I would still like to see more of the fight, and how supposively Beowulf tears off Grendel's arm, causing him to bleed to death.

Also, the fight with Grendel's mother could be improved. We just saw this dead guy's head, then we saw some water, and then the fight scene. What did that mean? Did he jump into a lake and they fought underwater? How did Beowuld find Grendel's mother. OK, so he jumped into this "Lake of the Wolf Dens" or something like that, but how did he end up fighting Grendel's mother?

According to the story, Beowulf jumped in the lake and ran into Grendel's mother where they ended up fighting in an underwater cave or something like that if I remember.
Good film, but yeah, the fight scenes could be improved.

Yeah, thats right. He also found a sword down there which we see in the film. The fight scenes were alright, its not like they can change them now, we'll just have to look forward to what they do next.

Yeah, even though we wish the fight scenes were better, its still a good film to watch now and then. I told my english teacher about it, and they're going to show it to our english class.

It was cool how they had those songs from LOTR and Medieval total war. I liked that. The opening battle was cool, but the other fight scenes were not as good.

Yeah. The catapults were cool. Epecially when all those guys were getting hit by the fireballs. The only thing about it though, was that we didn't know what they were fighting for or what the war was about. And who were the other guys anyway. We know the brown dudes were Hrothgar's men, but what about the purple, blue, and green dudes.

They were all rival kingdoms. It was taken from Rome Total War. They used a bunch of the barbarian factions for that. We just know that Hrothgar had a bunch of battles in his lifetime. That was one of them.
