For all of you who are into fps, the fourth installment of Tom Clancy's "Ghost Recon" series is going to be in stores soon. What really caught my interest in this game, is that a lot of it is going to be set in El Paso and Juarez, which is where we live! So if you're into first person shooters or Tom Clancy, be sure to check out this game. I don't know how accurate the locations will be compared to real life, but its going to be pretty cool to have a "hometown advantage" in a video game. Here's some screenshots and concept art showing some good pictures of El Paso and Juarez. I can tell that this is Juarez looking towards El Paso. The second lit up sign to the right I is for "Ajuas," which is that building to the left of it. Its a resturaunt where I ate once. media.xbox360.ign.com/media/862/862427/img_4123480.htmlThey got practically everything right in this one except I know those smokestacks are a lot further to the left (which would be to the north), because you have to see UTEP before you see those smokestacks. media.xbox360.ign.com/media/862/862427/img_4123483.htmlAnother shot of "J-town" ("J-town" is a local nickname for Juarez). This is in downtown El Paso. I go through this intersection a lot of times, and thankfuly I've never ran into this! EDIT: I don't know if its just my computer or why some of the pictures won't show up here. So I added their URLs in case you can't see them.

I've played the first Ghost Recon before, but not the others. What's supposed to happen anyway that leads up to this?

I've played the first Ghost Recon before, but not the others. What's supposed to happen anyway that leads up to this? I have GRAW. In it, the presidents of the US, Mexico, and the Canadian Prime Minister are trying to make a treaty but some of the Mexican military gets pissed off about their president's decision so they do a coup detat, kill the Canadian Prime Minister and take the US and Mexican Presidents hostage. A Mexican civil war erupts and eventually Mitchell rescues the two presidents. The Mexican president asks US assist his side, but the rebels steal the "football" the US President always carries around (the one that can launch a nuclear attack). Apparently in this one, the rebels get pissed about the US involvement so they decide to invade El Paso. Unfortunately, I don't have a 360 so I can't play it yet unless I get the PC version The graphics look great though and its been ranked the #4 game for the 360 (the top 3 are Gears of War, Rainbow 6 Vegas, and Call of Duty 3).

But what's the point in invading El Paso? Do they hold it hostage or something and blackmail the government or what? I have to say that based on those screenshots the graphics look amazing. It looks almost lifelike. I take it those shots are from the xbox 360 no? Would it still look as good on PC?

Would it still look as good on PC? With a high-end graphics card, i dont see why not.
