I think France will probably win, since they beat Brazil. If they can beat Brazil, they can beat anybody

Ill take the Super Bowl over this acting fest any day. Apparently good acting skills can get you somewhere in soccer. Case-in-point: Just about every awarded free kick/penalty shot that leads to a goal (like France over Portugal) and that was because the soccer player was a drama queen. You wont see that in baseball, basketball, or in the gridiron. How fake! And how cheap!
Some other things i noticed: It can be incredibly boring, since "nil-nil" scores are quite common. No wonder the fans riot, theyre just too d**n bored!
Its the most defensive-minded popular sport i can think of. Thats why theres always low scores.
It actually resembles some socialist nations in their philosophy(maybe thats why its popular there?): Putting in the most effort for the smallest reward possible(1, maybe no goal at all). Just about every move, pass, etc is in vain except for maybe the 2 or 3 passes/moves that leads to a score, out of what? 200?
Having this thing every 4 years means players will be 4 years older, and that causes great players who are around 28-29 at the time to be pretty old the next time, and not great anymore. It should be every 2 years, 3 tops.
I can see why this game hasnt caught on in America, where they want everything fast and exciting. I dont blame them.

Well said. Think about it, all you have to do is kick the ball in the net. You might say that soccer is in some aspects similar to basketball (both games require that you have to put the ball in a goal area on the other side of the arena). However, in basketball, scores can reach up to triple digits. In soccer, its very hard to score

I'm not into soccer or anything but I'm glad Italy won. I was going for Italy seeing as how I'm part Italian... WhoO! The "Romans" do it again! Heh heh.
