Much like HBO's earlier primetime series "The Sopranoes", and "Sex And The City", their new series "Rome" is being shown every saturday night. I saw the first episode of it last weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend anyone here who's interested in it, to watch it. From the one episode I've seen thus far, it looks to have a good future on HBO. Here's a link to the official site www.hbo.com/rome/episode/season1/episode01.html

My brother watched it the other night, and he said it was good. Apparently he liked some part where a guy had to have some type of ancient surgery in his head with no anesthetics or whatever you call them
I wonder if they'll show the battle with Caesar and Pompey. I'm going to watch it next Sat. And yes, based on the pics, Legiones Redde would be a lot cooler if they had the same resources as these guys.

We just hope they'll show us certain stuff. Caesar is going to kick Pompey's @$$, he's going to go to Egypt and fall in love with Cleopatra, go back to Rome and get murdered, Mark Antony will go to Egypt and then go to war with Octavian who becomes Augustus, and then sends Varus to Germania which is what Towne Films is going to show us.

The question isn't where can we find the resources for this film, but rather where can we find the money. We know where to find some sweet lookin' stuff like Roman helmets, chainmail, roman scutums.... If you want us to use the right stuff, feel free send us $1000 donations.

Well, I know you guys have good technology and ideas, and you've been doing some pretty amazing stuff. But I think "Legiones Redde" could make a great blockbuster movie if you had the money that the guys in "Rome" have.

Well the second season of Rome has started showing. I berly noticed that today when I checked my DVR list. To my surprise I apparently recorded like 5 episodes without my knowing. I instantly started watching one and finished watching 4 before I ended up going to work. I gotta say this show is friggin' dramatic. There's so much chaos going on, so many betrayals, so much sex and lust, so much vanity. God dang I just about felt depressed by the time I had to go to work, but I couldn't stop watching.
