just saw it. best batman (and joker) ever. strong case for best superhero movie ever can be made.
given its enthralling moral message, it also serves as an excellent crime drama.

Dark Knight hands down.
I saw it on Friday night and it was awesome.
And by the way, it's now rated the #1 movie of all time on IMDB, and that's not done just by fanboy votes, it's getting A LOT of votes to be up there.
Would I say it's better than the Godfather? I'm not sure about that, but I think it'll remain among the top 20 or so in that list, at least.

It was exactly how I imagined the Joker in my mind. The scary thing is when I first saw Heath Ledger's portrayal of the character, it added to my depression earlier this year when I was going through a rough time. It reminds you of how easy it can be for any one of us to cross that line into madness. Sadly, this role was what actually set Heath into depression and led him to his unfortunate death through accidental overdose. That man deserves an Oscar. Thanks for this piece of art.

You know, probably the only thing that annoyed me about the movie was the way batman talked. It seemed his voice was a bit exaggerated. I don't know if anyone would agree with me but yeah that's just my opinion. That and the sad fact that Heath passed away. So basically no more Joker either, at least not of his caliber. "Let's put a smi-i-i-le on that face!" Heh heh heh.

couldnt have said it better. the voice a bit nerve-racking (i may be shooting myself in the foot) , but then again he has to just so that people won't recognize his voice. heck, superman just uses glasses so idk, we just have to suspend disbelief there. heres a somewhat humorous review by Kevin Smith: www.slashfilm.com/2008/07/22/filmcast-ep-9-the-dark-knight-guest-kevin-smith/ ethics / psych papers can be written on this movie. i really liked the insight on human nature dichotomies, the nature of good and evil, game theory, and even a little FISA 'Big Brother' dig.

Batman was alright, but this was by far the Joker's show. Its sad he died, but at least he left us with a masterpiece.

hey, so who kidnapped Harvey and Rachel anyway? Was it Joker's idea? Because he tells Harvey it wasn't him because he doesn't like to make schemes.

Yeah because, even the ending thing with the boats was like a scheme, so the Joker can't say that he doesn't make schemes. I mean, the whole thing with the hostages in the clown masks, you can't say the Joker didn't make plans. It was just a lie he told Harvey to create chaos.

TDK is definitely the best superhero movie I've seen. Sure the Joker was great, but the film excelled on so many other levels too (screenplay, plot, music, effects, acting from other characters, etc). That said, I think Heath's Joker is probably the most iconic thing about this film.
As for Batman's voice, it may be a little overdone, but after all, he is trying to hide his identity.
