I'd like to see a team go undefeated the whole season. So I'll have to go with the Patriots in this one.

What a game the NFC championship was. 3 below 0 with -24 windchill, I know Iceman here would love it. But so the Packers lost. I was kind of hoping they'd go to the Superbowl but I'm not too disappointed, seeing as how the Giants are one of my favorite teams (this last game was one of the few times that I wasn't going for them only because I hoped the Pats would face Greenbay whom they haven't faced yet).
Anyway I'm happy at least the Giants get to go, and I'm hoping they'll beat the Patriots (sorry Pats fans).

What's the saying? #3rd time's a charm? It worked for New York against the Cowboys, but the Patriots I think will still dominate this.

Wow, early in the season, even a few weeks ago, nobody would have guessed the Giants could win the Superbowl. Then again, they came close to beating the Patriots in their last match-up, and they beat the heavily favored Cowboys and Packers as well. Anyway, one of my favorite teams won

For the second year in a row, someone named Manning stops Brady's quest for a Lombardi. Welcome to the NFL.

Booo
The Patriots could have made history. And the game kind of sucked too, a battle of the defenses until about the 4th quarter.

It was a good game, unless you were really going for the Patriots or you were still moping around that the Cowboys weren't in it (yeah I know some friends who boycotted the game because of that).
Imagine a Superbowl with Manning vs Manning?

Well, like compared to other superbowls, it was kinda low scoring. But there was lots at stake in this one with the Patriots having a chance at a perfect season and New York being able to make a big upset. I thought it was like one of the best superbowls I've seen, even though I wanted New England.

I thought it was like one of the best superbowls I've seen... Can't say i disagree. It's nice to see a defensive Super Bowl for a change, not one of those score fests. Several highlights: The "backwards scamper" and the "helmet catch," game-changing and highly improbable, all in the same play. youtube.com/watch?v=GULv-GCKmts The decision on the Pats to go for it on 4th and 13 instead of kicking the 50-yarder, the biggest sign of Patriots arrogance in the game, a highly questionable call to say the least. The game-winning throw to Plax. Single coverage, with the lesser talented corner, on the best Giants player (not to mention much taller than the Pats' corners), with the game on the line? I understood the need to blitz, but the Pats were just asking for it on that one. youtube.com/watch?v=sfb5tMBugbA

Regardless, i don't see Favre retiring, since he can clearly still play at an elite level, and he has the youngest team in the league (with him the obvious exception). Favre will be playing till we have robots out in the gridiron. Well he just announced he would...but I'm not a big fan of the Green Bay, so I guess I'm not hurt so much.

Although he did say he was "mentally [not physically] tired". As a fan of the greatest sport on this earth, i am saddened at the departure of one of its greatest players, the last QB of the 90's to have won a Super Bowl and still be playing (and not the oldest--that honor would go to ageless Vinny Testaverde, 44, and really more of an 80's QB), though considering Bob here is a Pack fan he must be raining tears as we speak . Bring on Super Bowl XLIII!

Well, sort of a Green Bay fan. I was just going for the Packers in the GB vs NY game because I would have liked to have seen Favre win a superbowl before he retired. Though usually I go for NY most of the time, that game was an exception.
Rumor has it though there might still be a slight chance of him returning, but I wouldn't place any bets on it. The team is still pretty young, and it would have been nice to have his leadership around a little longer. On the other hand, I guess I can understand the desire to go out with a good season rather than a poor one. Would have been awesome if he'd left having won the superbowl, but NY messed that up (though I hold no grudge on them since they are among my favorite teams).
Just so you know, my favorite teams are the Raiders, the Giants, and the Texans. The Packers though are among my secondary favorites, which also include the Steelers and sometimes the Cowboys.
