The costumes were cool, for being able to make them cheap anyway. Though yes, the film would be better with more authentic gear, its still good because of the story and the way it was told.

Well, the costumes weren't all the authentic stuff like in "Gladiator," but what they did seemed to get across the point that they were Romans and Germans, and there weren't like any anachronisms like glasses or wristwaches, or t shirts with words on them and stuff like that.
Edit: Apparently, it wont even let me spell wristwaches correctly, or the system will do this
wristhingyches
I spelled it correctly, but I think the system believes that there is a cuss word in there or something.

the 2 costumes that were the best were the ones for Caesar and the Druid. They looked cool and accurate.

The film itself seemed to be well done as far as editing and acting are concerned. Sound could use some upgrading when people are talking. The one thing I'd like to point out is in the production photos, it says Varus is fighting back one of the Celts. Though they're quite similar, there are some differences.
The German language borrowed many words from Celtic. But two things the Germans would not take from the Celts were language and religion. This race-pride gave rise to the German uprising and fall of the Celtic Empire. The German and Celtic deities have different names, and the burial rites were markedly different. The Germans burned their illustrious dead on pyres, the Celts (who buried their dead) regarded such as a humiliation to be used on criminals or slaves

But they're still Celtic basiacally. They just have different beliefs

So the Germans derived from the Celts, but they still had Celtic ideals in them: bloodlust, symbols, putting on blue paint, so forth.

Marius is correct. Even though the Germans are of Celtic origin, they are not "true Celts," how woud we Americans feel if we were called "English" because we originally belonged to England? Get the idea?

I'm not a history buff here, but even though it's likely that the Germans and "Celts" fought eachother at some point, I don't think the germans fought a revolution against the celts, and therefore comparing them to the the Americans and the British isn't really the best analogy. They were labeled celts by the greeks and romans anyway.

All barbarians were called "Celts," even though they had differences. Just like all Americans are called Americans though there are profound differences between some groups.

oh no, b4 any guest comes in here and starts ranting again, the server is once more "unavailable" and we can't watch the movie. The server site seems to be doing this often now. Maybe [Towne Films] should consider putting backup files of the film on another server so we can still watch them whenever this happens.
